So say in the MHA universe that it was Dynamight’s PR team crafted Dynamy to celebrate a collab with another brand (most likely he agreed in the first place because Two Weeks Notice secretary eagerly suggested it)
How do you think he’d react if Reader secretary was just as in love with Dynamy? Just thinks he’s the cutest lil’ thing in the world? Do you think he’d be jealous? Internally freaking out because it’s essentially him you love so much? (In his mind it’s the same, anyway.)

He hates it.
He fucking hates how stupid this little mascot looks as he sits in one of the chairs inside the meeting room while his PR team drone on about how great this will be for his image. And for the first time in his career, it has Bakugou wondering whether a boost to his rating is really worth this. He’ll just help a few old ladies cross the road, or pose for a couple of selfies instead? At least then he wouldn’t have to deal with this.
The mascot bounces cartoonishly across the screen as Bakugou furrows his brows, remembering the exact reason he’d agreed to do this shit. Your eyes practically lit up when you saw the email with the prototype picture of Dynamy attached, cooing at how adorable he looked on the screen as you turned it to face your boss. Bakugou almost blanched at the sight of it, why couldn’t you just be happy with a squishmallow like everyone else? But now here he was about to release a line of merch with this stupid picture all over it, including his own squishmallow.
The conversation in the room shifts to numbers and Bakugou’s already had enough, reaching over to grab one of the squishy plush prototypes that are sitting on the desk as he holds it in his hands. Squishing it together to distort it before pulling it apart, glancing up when he hears someone ask what he thinks, “I don’t give a shit, but I’m takin’ this.”
Bakugou loosens his tie as he makes his way back up to his floor, the stupid toy still in his hand as he holds it awkwardly away from his body, as though he’s embarrassed to even be seen with it as the elevator doors ding open.
“How was the meeting?” You smile from behind your desk as you notice your boss walking towards you, “You’re out earlier than I thought you’d be—”
But Bakugou doesn’t respond, instead he thrusts his hand out to offer the big Dynamy squishmallow to you, and your reaction solidifies that the hellish meeting and weeks to come were more than worth it.
You squeal as you grab the plush with both hands, almost forgetting where you were. Your eyes practically morph into little hearts as he sees the twinkle glittering behind them as you squeeze it to your chest, burying your lips into the top of it as you almost sway from side to side.
Bakugou’s never been so jealous of an inanimate object until now, his brows furrowed as you coo over the toy.
“Is this the prototype? Oh my god, I love him so much.” You gush, looking up at your boss who’s shamelessly staring at you, wishing he could pull his phone out of his pocket to snap a photo.
“Yeah, it is.” He rasps.
“He’s so soft— Oh, you probably want it back?” You almost pout as you move to hand it back.
“Nah,” Bakugou shakes his head, “Keep it.”
“Are you sure? Won’t someone need it?” You continued hugging the plush to your body as you gave it a final squeeze, fully prepared to give him up.
“I got it for you.” Bakugou smiles softly before walking towards his office, leaving you sat behind your desk hugging a plush of him.
You’ve been Dynamight’s secretary for one year, two months, six days and four hours. You’re the best secretary he’s ever had, but now you’ve given him your two weeks notice. Bakugou can’t hide his disappointment at losing you, and wonders why you’re leaving him to go and work for another hero— Pro-Hero Manual. But you can’t give him the real answer.
It’s been the best job you’ve ever had, but it’s slowly become the worst because you just can’t avoid the feelings you harbour for your boss. Working beneath him has a dull ache continuing to grow in your chest, and you’ve decided to do what you think is best for yourself and leave. So you’ve handed in your notice, but Dynamight isn’t going to let you go that easily, he’s determined to remind you why he loves you working here, and why he wants you to stay— because he’s just as in love with you.
If only he could admit it.
